Here Are The Main Cause Of Car Tire Leak

It is common knowledge that car tires are a vital organ in vehicles. The comfort of journey by car can be determined by the performance of the tires. Usually, car tires use the tubeless type. The tubeless type promises more security and comfort, because it is more leak-proof. Leaks that occur in tubeless tires usually also occur slowly, or also known as 'smooth leaks'. That way, there may still be time for the driver to notice the tire has a leak, and then look for a repair shop or tire repair shop.

So, what causes car tires to leak smoothly?

Tire Tread Is Worn:

Car tires often leak smooth because the tread is worn and worn. This reason is more likely to happen if the tires used are old, especially if you often cross sloping terrain because they are always rubbing against smooth objects. If this is the case, the tires must be replaced.

Leaking Tire Valve:

If the age of a car tire is still relatively 'young' but often leaks smoothly, the source of the problem is the leaky valve due to loose. The valve itself is part of the tire that functions as an entry point for air pressure. Therefore, a leaking valve causes the air from inside the tire to come out slowly until it finally runs out.

Leaking Tire and Rim Connection:

Another cause is a leak at the connection between the car tire and the wheel rim. The connection between the two sometimes becomes less tight and this can be corrected by gluing it again with glue. Leaking the connection between a car tire and a wheel rim can also occur due to a dented rim. Therefore, it is advisable not to drive aggressively especially if the roads are not in good condition or are badly damaged.

Check Wind Pressure:

The air pressure in the tires must be adjusted in such a way as to be comfortable to wear. Do not be so hard that the tires wear out quickly and are difficult to control. But it also shouldn't be too light because it will make the engine pull heavy. The pressure in the tires will usually also decrease by itself even though the car is rarely used. You are advised to check the air pressure in the tires at least every 2 weeks or when you are going to use it for long-distance driving for safety.  You must also be careful in determining the tire pressure limit of the car. For this reason, all car manufacturers always recommend that drivers fill the air pressure with the recommended capacity. The wind pressure on each car will be different depending on the type so weekly checks must be carried out.

The wind pressure should also not be too less or more because these two things will definitely affect the car. Here's the explanation:

1. The Pull Becomes Heavier:

If the tire lacks air pressure, the tire will spin imperfectly. Heavy loads make the car pull heavier and make driving uncomfortable.

2. Breakable Tires:

Tires that lack air pressure result in the appearance of lumps on the sidewalls of the tires. This lump makes the sidewall less strong to withstand a strong impact so that the construction is damaged.

3. More Wasteful of Fuel:

Tires with less air make the treads stick to the asphalt. This makes the friction between the surface of the tire and the asphalt even greater. For this reason, additional power is needed to glide so that it absorbs more fuel.

5. Reduced Braking Performance:

When the tire is flat, it makes stopping time longer. In addition, the car will easily slip either when the road is wet, slippery or snowing. Meanwhile, if the conditions are dry, the tires will slip easily.
